2 months >> picture overload

olive michelle is 2 months old today and i just can't believe it! the past 2 months have gone by so fast, and at the same time SO slow. we love this little munchkin to pieces, she makes my life a million times better.  she's probably... no she is the cutest baby alive.

at two months olive weighs 8 pounds 12 ounces and is 22 inches long. we've got a tiny little thing.  although to us, she seems so big!!

i love weddings!!

friday was wedding day.  i love weddings! they make me emotional. in a good way.  being in love is amazing and seeing other people in love makes me so happy.  we love brooke and shad. they are pretty much the only couple we ever hang out with.  brooke and i went to high school together, once dave and i got married our boys just kinda became bff's too. cute right? you can read about their story here. 

their wedding was a-mazing.  no really.  the venue was prolly the most perfect venue anyone could pick out. the ceremony was perfect. the organization amazed me.  the bride was beautiful.  the newly weds were so happy it was cute.  wedding food? always delish. and a photobooth!!? need i say more?

Date night!

It's been a while since Dave and I have gone out alone, with no baby. And I've been missing my man even though we spend time together every single day. So last night I decided to make all the plans for our date night.

We dropped olive off at my mom's and went to dinner at robintino's and headed to Dave's shop to watch a movie on the big screen! When we got there we decided we better take things slow and just leave olive for a little bit at a time and sooner or later we'll be able to be away from her for longer. Ha ha :) so we tinted the windshield on our car, cleaned it out a bit and then picked up our babe and went home! 

It was nice to have some time together to just talk and enjoy each others company without taking care of our baby at the same time. I love you babe!!

update!

life is busy when you're a mom. although you don't really do much, it seems like you never have time to get anything done.  we love our little olive.  she is growing so fast, we can't believe how big she is getting. liv is 7 weeks old today!! i still can't believe she's been with us for almost 2 months.

olive is still waking up between 2-3 times a night, lucky for us we've had 2 nights where she has only woken up ONCE! i pray that this continues. {mommy is always tired} she isn't really a "morning nap" girl, which has got to change! we're still workin on our schedule here. {if any of you mom's out there have any helpful tips please send them my way:)}

she loves to be awake and i think is close to coo-ing and talking. i can't wait!! she hates tummy time. a lot. so much so, that one day last week she decided that she was finished and rolled from her tummy to her back, all by herself! 

as you can see from the video... she has noticed her hands and loves to suck on them. {and no, she wasn't hungry. in fact, i had just fed her}

since olive was breech, there was a concern for her hips.  we had an ultra sound scheduled for her up at primary children's at her one month, just to make sure things are looking okay. the doc said that her left hip is just a little bit off, and to come back at her 2 month to see how things have progressed.

i was officially cleared by my ob this morning... so i am now a free woman! ;) my sister and i went to our first ballet blast class last night! holy crap!! what an intense work out... but we absolutely loved it. i am sore today that's for sure! 

we are getting ready to move down into the basement of dave's parent's home. hopefully within the next week or two.  we'll finally be able to set all our stuff up and actually feel like we have a "place" of our own. 

bagel pizza

a few nights ago, dave and i made something nice and simple with what we had at home. bagel pizzas. always delicious!! we didn't have any pizza sauce so we had to make some from scratch. it actually turned out really yummy.  this is the recipe i found online....

2 cans {15 ounces each} tomato sauce
1 can {12 ounces} tomato paste
1 tablespoon italian seasoning
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 to 2 teaspoons fennel seed, crushed
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt

bear lake.

we spent this fourth of july up at bear lake for a few days with some friends. lets just say, olive is not a fan of fireworks!! we really enjoyed some time away as a little family. i know that we all needed it! we ate lots and lots of food, played on the beach, went out on the boat, surfed, went paddle boarding and did lots of relaxing.
