our first christmas

12.27.2012
dave and i have spent christmas together since 2010. this year was our first year as a married couple. it seriously was a success!!

 dave spoiled me like crazy. seriously though. i don't know what I did to deserve such an amazing guy! christmas eve was spent with my mom and siblings. christmas morning dave and i slept in until this little baby couldn't stand me sleeping any longer. {sleeping is beginning to be extremely uncomfortable and im not even huge yet!?} see in my family, we would all have a huge slumber party christmas eve and stay up all night {well, try to} and then be up by 7:00am opening all our gifts. So sleeping in was really nice. my honey and i opened our gifts and then went straight to the eggett's for their famous christmas breakfast that dave hasn't been able to stop talking about for months now. i can see why he loves it so much. it was fun spending time with his whole family for the day. later on, we met up with all my sibs and my father to exchange gifts. by the time we were done visiting with everyone it was only 8:00pm and i was zonked out.

we had a wonderful christmas and hope that you all enjoyed yours as well.

the bump.

12.16.2012
i haven't been too good at documenting the baby bump.... there hasn't really been one to document. plus! i haven't felt so hot, which means i never get ready. {like, ever} however, i did take one shot when we first found out at about 4 weeks.. in my opinion not much has really changed since then. tomorrow i hit week 15! i don't know about any of you other mom's but i just get more and more excited each week that passes. 15 weeks is a big accomplishment. especially in my case. we have our second doctor's appointment this week! i can't wait to see what we find out.  our little egg is just growin and growin, according to my iphone app. it's about 3.98 inches & 1.75 ounces and is the size of an apple. {supposedly}
{about week 4}

{week 15}

one more week

11.26.2012
this post is for personal use only. if you hate complainers do not read on. if you've been there and felt my pain feel free to listen to how my first trimester has treated me!  i honestly did not expect pregnancy to be so harsh {i know, i know... just wait for what's coming} maybe i had too much of a positive attitude that it got me no where but the dumps. for any future first time mommies {or for myself for future babies} it's not as easy as it seems.. but, maybe you'll get lucky and it'll be a breeze. now.. don't get me wrong,  i am so unbelievably grateful for this little one and i most definitely wouldn't change anything for the world. but the whole "morning sickness" thing is a big fat lie. in fact it can be {and always is for me} morning, afternoon, oh and night time sickness. i kid you not, i feel nauseous 24/7. every second of the day. i only feel somewhat normal after i throw up for about... 30 seconds, then it's back to being sick.  oh. you & throwing up are the best of friends now.  when i was growing up {all the way until the present day} i have hated throwing up.  to the point where i would make sure that i didn't. at all. within the last  8+ weeks, i've thrown up more than i have in my entire life, times {hmmm, let's say} 30. i'm not lyin. i moan, all the time. hopin and prayin that my moaning will make everything better. my hubby is probably so sick of me by now. in the beginning, popsicles were the only things that kept me somewhat happy. now it's these darn mints, that really i just cant stand anymore. oh! and thank the heavens for keva juice!!! zofran never helped me, in fact it made things coming back up even harder to come back up.  i can't keep a prenatal vitamin down, good thing they have chewables. every smell makes me wanna barf, especially our apartment. i love my husband more than anything in this world, but... his body soap. and sometimes a certain way that i hold his hand makes me gag, so i hold his thumb.warm baths calm me down and i love hanging out at my grandma's house because it reminds me of my childhood. {it's very comforting} maybe i'm just being a baby.... i don't know, but the first trimester is very miserable. good thing we only have one more week left!!! whoo whooo!  you see, all these things are not fun at all.  but then you see your little one for the very first time ever, and it gives you hope.  there is our little baby egg. {now 12 weeks} we even heard the heart beat which made my heart skip a beat. dave and i are beyond excited to meet this little one.
{thanks for letting me get this off my chest} come visit again!!

baby makes three.

11.14.2012
guuueeeessss what?! yes, the picture says it all! we are {very} excited to announce.... baby makes three.

i have always dreamed of the day when i find out that i'm pregnant with our very first baby ... but never knew how soon it would actually happen.  {and no, this little eggett was not a surprise!} i don't think it has actually hit either of us quite yet, but once that belly shows up i'm sure it will become reality. On the morning of october 17, 2012 i woke up and the first thing dave says "you have to pee on the stick" i was so nervous, i wanted it to be positive so badly.. and i just wanted to wait at least a couple more days until we found out. but dave got his way, and that morning we found out that we have a little one on the way.  dave was {literally} jumping up and down yelling with excitement and i sat there, so excited i just didn't know what to do or say!

these past few weeks have been really rough... and honestly i wish someone would have warned me before. i've thrown up more in the past 4 weeks than i have in my entire life! times ten!!! my hair has been in a bun on the top of my head for 4 weeks straight.  with what i've been wearing, you wouldn't think i owned anything besides sweats. i eat about 6-8 popsicles a day {if not more}. i love my mints. and i hate the smell of everything. everything i say. but i think to myself, this is all going to be worth it in 7 months.

we can't wait to meet you baby eggett!!!!

feels like halloween.

10.28.2012

when i was a little girl, my favorite holiday to decorate for was halloween.  before i got married, i was most excited to be able to decorate my own home however i wanted.  once october hit i kept thinking about how to make our home feel like halloween. and when i thought about it, i thought about how i don't want to spend money and time on cute decor. so i decided against it. but then i thought to myself, "you are going to be upset if you don't decorate for your first halloween together." so i caved in, except there was no crafting.  i just drove {30 seconds} to walmart and bought the cheapest {cutest} decorations.  dave and i wrapped our whole balcony in glow in the dark spider web. and made our giant spider.  we are planning on having a halloween party with friends. {if i ever get off my butt to plan it}  last weekend we had our traditional halloween party with the mckee's {my mom's side} for years now for this party, my amazing grandma makes a million different kinds of soups. and holy.cow. are they good.  actually they are amazing.  i'm always so excited to get that delicious food in my belly. this was dave's first year... he sure was in for a treat!! what are your plans for halloween???

a little snack.

10.20.2012

these little guys have turned into my favorite snack lately... {seeing as, they are the only thing that tastes good to me at the moment} I just wish someone would make this fruit dip for me. oh. how i would love you forever.  hey! since you are already reading our blog.. would you mind on following us?? it's really simple. thanks a bunch.

lunch lady pb bars

10.18.2012

remember back in elementary school, when you would ask your mom for an extra twenty five cents so you could buy one of the 'lunch ladies peanut butter bars'?? every recipe i find, just doesn't taste the same.  i ran across this recipe the other day and it was probably as close as i'll ever get to the actual famous pb bars. {i loved that it doesn't call for a kajillion cups of peanut butter & oatmeal!!!}

1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 cup butter
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1 cup peanut butter
2 cups oatmeal
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt

cream first 3 ingredients together. add the vanilla, eggs and peanut butter and combine. add the remaining ingredients and mix together. spread on a greased pan, and bake at 350 for 15 minutes. {or until golden brown} while hot, spread 1 1/2 cups of peanut butter on top.  cool so the peanut butter can become solid again.  spread your favorite chocolate frosting on top.  {i used a bag of chocolate chips} enjoy!!

{p.s. we have BIG news coming your way}

workout wednesday

10.10.2012
"enjoy your body. use it every way you can. don't be afraid of it or of what other people think of it."

in high school i was very active, dancing every single day really keeps you in shape. {seriously} after i graduated i started slacking on the whole exercising thing.  it's not that i think i'm fat, i just know that i'm extremely out of shape.  so. my goal is to kick that bad habit out of here and start a daily exercise routine.  every wednesday i'll post my work out of the day {workout wednesday's}.  i'll try my best to keep it different each week, but there may be times when we repeat a work out.  we are timing our workout today, so go as fast as you can and don't forget to share your time by posting in the comment section below. good luck!!

100 lunges {50 each leg}
100 push-ups
100 sit-ups
100 squats

for kicks and giggles, take a run around the block? on the treadmill? {i ran for about 3 miles}

fall is here.

10.07.2012

this week has been pretty busy for us eggett's.  the new company dave is involved in is starting it's pre-launch tomorrow morning. getting ready for this has been nuts.  but we couldn't be more excited. if you want information about FERVEO vist, here .  this thing is going to be huge and we would love to get anyone involved that is interested.  if you have more questions after visiting feel free to call or text me. {801-200-1200} i have also been exercising my little bum off this week.  i've finally committed to this and i can tell a difference already. and it's only been a week!!! my goal is to eat healthier, exercise often and become extremely fit. {extremely} dave has always told me that the only way he would work out with me is if we got a pass to the rec center, so i signed us up this week.  we've gone a few times together {i love it} swimming laps is seriously a work out!!!! but i enjoy it more then running, and so does dave.  i'm so proud of myself for sticking through this week.  i found a quote online this week that said, "it takes 4 weeks for you to notice your body is changing, 8 weeks for your friends to notice, and 12 weeks for the rest of the world to notice. give it 12 weeks, don't quit"   i'm not quitting this time.  this weekend was conference weekend.. ever since i can remember, my family has always taken a little road trip up to logan, conference weekend. listening to conference, enjoying cheese curd {a.k.a squeaky cheese}, old grist mill sandwiches, a drive up to the canyon and staying in our favorite resort, sherwood hills.  my mom and sisters decided to follow through with this tradition this weekend, so dave and i decided to join them on saturday.  it was fun to show dave things from my childhood.

ferveo

10.01.2012
{jeremy evans from the utah jazz is even involved in ferveo}
this week is a huge week for us eggett's.  dave and i have a huge part in an upcoming company, with huge opportunities heading our way.  each and every one of you could be involved in as well.  those of you who are interested in network marketing companies, makin' a little extra cash flow each month, or just interested in the product? i promise you won't want to miss out on this! here is a little info on "ferveo." if you are interested after reading this, please don't hesitate to call, text or even message dave and i.

ferveo is a home based business, modeled after the very successful network marketing industry. ferveo will have some amazing all natural health products.  first being the energy/weight loss drink.  ferveo is still in the early stages which means now is the time to join.  first question that pops to your mind, how can i become apart of ferveo? the answer to this question is simple.  shoot us a text, message or even a phone call, fill out our application and we'll get your spot secured.  starting this week, we are in our pre launch {you can secure your top spot for free until we launch this winter!!} find 3 other people to do the same, and you'll have a check coming your way when we launch this november or december.

dave and i have both tried ferveo's first product, and we both agree that we have never tasted anything like this before.  it's not your usual energy drink taste nor the nasty weight loss beverages.  it's worth purchasing.  still have some questions??  here is a little bit more information... maybe these will answer your last few questions.

ferveo is a matrix compensation plan.  $150 per month.  sign up as a builder pack for a one time fee of $1,500 {$150 each month after} and for anyone that you get to sign up as a builder pack as well, you will receive a $500 bonus check!

our "new" little apartment

9.25.2012

i've always loved crafts and projects but i've never been the one to actually do them.  a few weeks ago i was feeling like our apartment needed some color, i had found so many ideas on pinterest and i got to work.  i have such an amazing husband who was supportive and helped me hang everything once they were done.  i've always loved the color yellow and i'm obsessed with the color mint. and voila!!  i'm pretty pleased with how everything turned out. {yes, there is a chip in our dresser that needs to be fixed.. no big deal} there are sooo many other ideas that i found, but i guess they will have to wait until we actually have a house. oh! we are looking for this bed set below, if anyone knows of a place we can find something like it.. let us know! :)

{isn't it adorable?!?!}

last minute..

9.24.2012

this weekend was pretty relaxing here, but at the same time we got a lot done! we finally finished all of our crafting projects {stay tuned for pictures}, cleaned out everything that was left in my room at my mom's house, and a sparkling clean apartment.  saturday night we decided to head up to the B with r&z and j&t to roast some hot dogs and s'mores.  i haven't had so much fun in a long time.  it was really fun to just be with family. we always have a good time when we're together. {as you can see from the above picture, i was a little too close to the camp fire.. oops!}

life lately

9.21.2012

a lot has happened since the last time we actually blogged.  my new goal is to stay up to date. {we'll see how well i do}  life lately has been busy. busy. busy.  dave has recently expanded his company and now has a business partner.  av solutions & tint city {for more information, visit the link above}... these two boys work hard every single day.  it has been a huge change and accomplishment and i am so proud of my husband.  summer is over and my kiddos are now back in school every day.  i have a lot of free time on my hands, which has led to a lot  {and i mean, a lot} of crafting.  i have completely re-decorated our apartment.  i am obsessed with the color mint green lately, so i have incorporated it into our decorating. my mom has moved out of our childhood home and into a town house in the layton area.  we recently had a huge yard sale, trying to get rid of pretty much anything and everything we didn't want to move.  we were really lucky to be on such a busy street... the yard sale was a huge success. a few weeks ago we had to say goodbye to our childhood pup, missy.  i still remember the day our parents brought her home.  we have made so many good memories with miss through out the years and it was hard to say goodbye.  we buried her in our backyard by her favorite tree, along with the last pear she tried to hide.  r.i.p. my lovely missy, we'll miss you.  we now have a new niece... which has made us baby hungry... well at least one of us!  and if our 'bet' follows through with dave's friend andrew, there may be a baby coming sooner then later.  we're sick of our neighbors all around us... above, below, side by side.  come on people! you live in an apartment, you need to learn how to tolerate certain things.  we have lived in our new apartment 3 months now and had 2 complaints before we even lived there a month.  we have crazy, crazy neighbors. all we have to say is... "s.m.d.y.l.b" hahaha. this month we will be celebrating 5 months of marriage.  i can't believe how fast time is flying. i love every single minute with dave.  he's amazing and makes me one happy girl.  my grandparents got us all tickets to the brigham city temple open house a few weeks ago, and invited everyone to lunch at maddox. it was a really rainy day but we made it entertaining and fun.  we got invited to spend a few days with friends at a cabin up in heber.  it was so nice to get away for the weekend, spend time with close friends, and the cabin was to die for!! dave has been working on another big company with his friend andrew that is going to launch within the next couple weeks called, ferveo.  dave is beyond excited for this opportunity and can't wait for it to start.  {for more information, visit the link above.} for the most part, welcome to our life.  we'll try to keep you more updated!  we're looking forward for the rest of the year and sharing our thoughts, memories and experiences with everyone. thanks for visiting!! come back soon.

r & z's wedding

9.20.2012

this august rachel and zack said 'i do'.  we had been counting down for august 24th for months, and now it has come and gone.  so much hard work was put into this day, and it seriously turned out beautiful. dave and i couldn't be happier for these two, they are going to absolutely love the married life. a few of my favorite moments of the day were... spending lots of time getting ready with all of the bridesmaids {laughing & building memories}, helping rachel into her dress & shoes for the first time, watching taylor run to rachel in the middle of the ceremony, enjoying the company of close friends and family through out the entire day, sweating like men, destroying the car as nicely as possible and watching my little sister, who i had grown so close to and built so many good memories with growing up.. drive away knowing that she has never been happier. sorry mom for putting you through not one, but two weddings in less than 5 months. but hey! there won't be another anytime soon. {let's hope}

{please pardon the blurry pictures, enjoy!!}

first camping trip

9.19.2012

okay, okay.... i really wanted to post about our camping trip since i deleted our old blog. i wanted to always make sure we remembered our first camping trip.  we had planned a nice long trip with friends to flaming gorge.  but when the day actually came, we had problem after problem after problem.  we bagged the flaming gorge idea, and drove ourselves 4 hours towards pinedale, wyoming.  we stayed at a campsite at fremont lake.  our camp was right across the street from the lake and right next to the out house.  dave decided that since he had been camping the 'real' way his whole life, it was time to camp in luxury... somewhat.  i bought dave a tent for his birthday {back in may} and we finally pulled it out of the box. we purchased some lovely red camping chairs from walmart, and a nice big blow up mattress.  we slept like babies.
the water was absolutely beautiful... it was so clear that you could see to the bottom. but. on the other hand, it was ice cold. we bought some goggles while we were there since the water was so clear.  dave became a fish that weekend.  we enjoyed an afternoon rain everyday, delicious food, camp fires, swimming, scenery, lovely company, and card games {can't forget the card games} it was a pretty awesome first camping trip.
