Swing Scotti, Swing
9.25.2015
another morning at the park for us this week. we have been enjoying the some-what-cooler weather. although today was pretty hot! i love that five points park still has swings. i think every park should keep those in.
i stuck scotti in the swing for the first time in her life today! she enjoyed every second. but just like she is with everything else, she was very calm and chill. just chillin' in the swing!

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies
9.24.2015
pumpkin has always been one of my favorites during the holidays. i love the smell, i love the recipes, i love the taste. pumpkin pies, pumpkin candles, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin bread.... mmmm. i could go on and on.
the girls and i (meaning, olive + i... scotti sat in the high chair next to us and told stories) made these pumpkin chocolate chip cookies tonight after our dinner. i quickly searched a recipe via pinterest from the baker upstairs blog. I lost the link but luckily have the recipe for you below. if you search her blog, i am sure you will find the full post with all the details! enjoy!
what are you favorite pumpkin recipes?? anything i should try?! send them my way!

1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup pumpkin puree

preheat oven to 350. spray baking sheets with nonstick cooking spray. she says to mix flour, soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. beat butter and sugar in separate bowl, then add pumpkin, egg, and vanilla and mix well. beat in flour mixture gradually, then fold in chocolate chips. bake for 15-18 minutes or until edges are firm.
Park Date
9.23.2015
We had a few errands to run this afternoon, and we just happened to leave at lunch time. So we made our first stop, then picked up some in-n-out and had a little park lunch date. It seriously was so fun today.
Scotti just played with her straw + our ketchup packets and nibbled a little on our food. Olive played in the sand, climbed all the ladders, went down the slide and played on the swings.
We stopped at target to get olive a "surprise" from the dollar section + a few other things. Targets Halloween decor right now.... Insert heart eyes emoji !! I had to leave before I did some damage.
Tibble Fork Reservoir
9.21.2015
I took the girls (and my sister) on a little drive up american fork canyon and stopped at tibble fork reservoir for lunch and throwing rocks in the water. olive was in heaven and didn't want to leave. she really enjoys the outdoors. she would throw rocks to the ducks and say, "here's your food!"
Now that the weather isn't so miserably hot, i really want to take the girls out more often. i was just in awe, the water was beautiful. the whole scenery was just breath taking. thank you for tagging along with me emily!!

Happy Sunday!!
9.20.2015
I never thought that I would be one of those mom's who dressed their girls to match, but behold, I am indeed one of those mom's. I love that I can now get away with buying 12 month clothing for miss Scotti girl. It makes it easier to find matching pieces for the girls. This cute, purple and blue "bow" dress I just picked up from target this past week! I just love these girls of ours.
Scotti Lou: 7 Months
9.15.2015
miss scotti lou just passed her seven month mark this last sunday! words can't even begin to describe how much we love this girl. her sweet spirit, her personality, the joy she brings us!! ahh! i'm so happy she is ours forever.
+ scotti started crawling 2-3 days before she turned seven months.
+ she loves to plank
+ hates food & the bottle, loves the boob! although she is finally coming around to bananas and loves avocados. we are skipping baby food (she wants nothing to do with it) and are slowly introducing her to things on our plates.
+ rarely sleeps through the night
+ loves, loves, loves her big sis
+ rarely laughs but will give you the biggest smiles you'll ever see
+ loves to growl back and forth with you
+ wears 9-12 month clothes and size 3&4 diapers
+ loves water
+ such a busy baby, she's so ready to be running around with sister
Life Lately...
9.13.2015
i have been MIA lately, i feel like time is going by so fast. I haven't been very good about pulling out my camera so i only have a few of my iphone photos to share.. here are a few random things that have been going on in the eggett house hold!
i colored my hair for the first time in months and went 9 days without washing it. N I N E!! i'm not sure if that's impressive or disgusting..?
I am in the process of enrolling in school at Western Governors University to get my B.A in Interdisciplinary Studies (teaching elementary school) It's an online school which will allow me to stay home with the girls which is the best way to continue my education. (I get major momma guilt + separation anxiety) I have a long road a head of me but I seriously couldn't be more excited!
We have recently changed Olive's diet, and we're on week two of eating a lot healthier!! something about eating poptarts and cereal all day was definitely affecting that little body of hers. We are cutting out as much sugar and processed foods as we can and she is actually eating what we give her. (insert clapping emoji here!)
Dave is busy at work, as always. He always has so much on his plate! he was finally able to buy a brand new printer after a couple weeks of being printer-less when Dave and his business partner split!
The girls love their daddy so much, Olive loves to pretend she's heading off to work, "bye mom, I'm going to work, to the shop"
miss scotti lou hit her 7 month mark TODAY (will be posting her monthly update soon!) dave and i are still so shocked that it has been seven months. dave, olive and i seriously adore scotti's sweet little personality!
dave's sister was sealed to her family in the salt lake city temple this weekend! so we had a long, busy day yesterday!but it was such a special day for them, and we are so happy for their family! and what a sweet 20th anniversary gift!! this will be my little family one day! :) ..... hopefully.... ;)
i can't believe summer is coming to an end! i am so excited for fall and cooler weather, but dreading winter. let's just skip over that season and go straight to spring please!
