pumpkin has always been one of my favorites during the holidays.  i love the smell, i love the recipes, i love the taste.  pumpkin pies, pumpkin candles, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin bread.... mmmm. i could go on and on.

the girls and i (meaning, olive + i... scotti sat in the high chair next to us and told stories) made these pumpkin chocolate chip cookies tonight after our dinner.  i quickly searched a recipe via pinterest from the baker upstairs blog. I lost the link but luckily have the recipe for you below. if you search her blog, i am sure you will find the full post with all the details! enjoy!

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup pumpkin puree
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup chocolate chips

preheat oven to 350.  spray baking sheets with nonstick cooking spray.  she says to mix flour, soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.  beat butter and sugar in separate bowl, then add pumpkin, egg, and vanilla and mix well.  beat in flour mixture gradually, then fold in chocolate chips.  bake for 15-18 minutes or until edges are firm.
